For merchants, SMS communication may be enabled through written, digital, or verbal consent. Where applicable, we may provide opt-in mechanisms (such as a checkbox during onboarding) to confirm your preference for SMS communication.
All outbound marketing and service messages will include instructions such as “STOP to unsubscribe.” You may opt out of non-essential SMS communications at any time by replying STOP. Transactional and service-critical messages may continue where necessary to fulfill orders, maintain accounts, or meet operational obligations.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.

Merchant Use of the Platform
By accessing and using the Hungry Canadian platform as a merchant or vendor, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your business and order-related information as described in this Privacy Policy. This includes consent to the sharing of order data with third-party delivery providers as required to fulfill customer orders.
Merchants may also consent to receive communications from Hungry Canadian via email, phone, or SMS for operational, support, and account management purposes. SMS communication with merchants may be enabled through written, digital, or verbal consent, and may later be formalized through opt-in mechanisms within our onboarding or account tools.
Merchants may withdraw consent for non-essential SMS communications at any time by notifying us or replying STOP to an SMS message.

Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe. Hungry Canadian does not store full credit card numbers or CVV codes.

Delivery Partners
When you request delivery, we share your name, address, phone number, order contents, and status details with the selected delivery partner. This data is used solely to complete your delivery.
For merchant-fulfilled orders requiring third-party logistics, we may similarly share necessary customer and order data to complete delivery.

Data Retention
We retain Personal Data for as long as your account remains active and as necessary to:
- Provide the Service

Upon request for account deletion, we will deactivate your account and remove or anonymize Personal Data, subject to legal requirements.
Stripe may retain payment-related data independently in accordance with its obligations. Deleting your Hungry Canadian account does not automatically remove data held by Stripe.
